My Parents
Let's talk about John & Myra Leckey.
My parental units are living it up in
New York City.
My Dad rides the Staten Island Ferry
every day, and ride his bike to work. He hangs out with the rough biking crowd on the bottom level
of the ferry. If you see a scary guy on a green Trek bike, it's him.
My Momlet works for HeadStart - you know, that place President Shrub is trying to close? Mom is also a big
sister in the catholic big brothers program. Don't worry, we're not catholic.
Clearly I need to get a photo of them scanned so you can see where I got my
looks from. I have my dad's hair, and my mom's legs.
My parents are experts on child birth and child rearing. They are the best parents
imaginable. In addition, their DNA produced me --need I say more? You can e-mail both
my dad and my mom.
My Mom favors these quotes:
"It is better to have loved and lost..much better!" -Elizabeth Taylor
"Be it ever some humble, there's no place like home." -Conrad Hilton
from South Pacific:
"If you don't have a dream, you've gotta have a dream, or how you gonna
have a dream come true."
From the song "You'll never walk alone":
"When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high and don't be
afraid of the dark. At the end of the storm, is a golden sky and the
sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on through
the rain though your dreams be tossed and blown, walk on walk on with
hope in your heart and you'll never walk alone, you'll never walk alone.
