Bek
Bek and I met in August of 1991, when we moved into a dorm room together, our
freshman year at Steven Institute of Technology.
As a result of living together for a while, you can only imagine
how many embarrassing things we know about each other. After a year, I left that
school, and continued my undergrad education at CSI of CUNY, where Bek joined me a
year later.
There are a million pics of me and Bek on this sight, but here is a photo of Bek on the Beach:
Bek and I have taken a few road trips together, so let me show you THIS:
Above, you can see Bek and I freezing our buttes off after spending a night
sleeping at the edge of Lake Powell, Utah, surrounded by wild animals, followed
by a ruthless canoeing up the Colorado River!
These road trips also afforded me the opportunity to take a few shots of
Bek's Butte:
That was Bek's Butte in my room.
That was Bek's Butte in my car.
When I moved back to New York, largely to be near Bek, she immediately moved to Philadelphia. Why anyone would
move to Philadelphia is beyond me. But she is teaching in a wealthy fancy shmancy school district. She's teaching
kids who's parents could afford to quit their jobs and homeschool and still own spare Jaguars and Beamers.
Care for a sample of Bek's poetry ?
